Contemporary Art Platform (CAP) is pleased to announce the opening of Wild
\nMoments: Through the Lens of Kuwaiti Photographers and is proud to present
\nKuwaiti photographers Dr. Mohammed Alkandari, Majed Alzaabi, Mohammed
\nKhorshed and Maitham Almisry in their first exhibition using Fine Art Limited
\nEdition prints in Kuwait. The exhibition opening will take place on Saturday the 28th
\nof October 2017 at 11am and continues until the 28th of November 2017.
\nIn the first of a photography exhibition series hosted by CAP, the work of Kuwaiti
\nphotographers\u2019 is brought together to celebrate Mother Nature and the mesmerizing
\ncreatures of her animal kingdom.
\nThis exhibition\u2019s four photographers have collected an arsenal of awards and
\ninternational recognition; from world-renowned competitions and organizations such
\nas: National Geographic, the Al-Thani International Photography Contest, the
\nAmerican Photography Federation, the Hamdan Bin Rashed Contest, the Maria Luisa
\nContest in Spain and the Austria Photography Contest.
\nThe photographs featured in Wild Moments have been selected thanks to their
\nstunning technical quality, inspiring subjects and artistic direction. Each of the
\nphotographs elevates its animal subject either by abstracting its form or by
\nhighlighting its personality.
\nAbout CAP
\nContemporary Art Platform (CAP) is a non-profit private organization dedicated to
\ndeveloping and supporting the arts in Kuwait and throughout the region. CAP is one
\nof the largest exhibition spaces in the region and since its founding in 2011 by art
\ncollector Amer Huneidi. The gallery space has presented exhibitions of established
\nand international artists, as well as emerging and local artists through collective,
\nthematic shows mainly curated by Arab and international curators.
\nCAP\u2019s mission is equally committed to its extensive education program which offers a
\nvariety of opportunities to the community. Workshops are held regularly in the Studio
\nSpace, where youth and children are invited to learn from local and visiting artists.
\nArtist talks and panel discussions are presented in conjunction with exhibitions,
\nexhibition tours are offered to school groups and film screenings are shown regularly.
\nCAP\u2019s library holds over two thousand titles and is the largest public art book library
\nin Kuwait. These resources have positively impacted local contemporary art
\nappreciation and understanding. As the only institution of its kind, CAP has played a
\nprincipal role in establishing Kuwait as a contributor to the global art world and
